My History of Growing Companies.

I started out in Manufacturing around 20 years ago and I have always had a growth mindset. I am an experienced Commercial Director with a demonstrated history of working in the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, Defense, Industry Sectors. Being skilled in Negotiation, Sales Team Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and International Sales, I’ve worked throughout my career in steel stock holding and have a history of selling over 200 grades of materials globally to over 40 different countries. I am a professional sales leader who can engage both internal and external sales team, demonstrating a history in Quality control, stock management, business growth and improvement as well as developing supply chains and agent networks worldwide.

At my first company, where I was a Sector Leader in the Oil & Gas division 2008 - 2017, I helped one division grow to £6 million turnover and established market growth in India, Dubai and Singapore.

At my second company, where I was an Export Sales Manager 2017 - 2018, I established an entire Export division. This involved creating systems and procedures to make sure there was a clear plan for growth. This created a new division with Sales in excess of £1.5 million and brought in over 60 new customers.

I joined Corrosion Resistant Materials (CRM) in 2018 as a Commercial Manager and became a Director in 2020, and in that time I have helped grow the company from £1 million turnover in 2018 to £4.5 million in 2023. This has contributed to the many awards CRM has received, particularly the prestigious Queen’s Award. This incredible growth was achieved by bringing in new systems and procedures to make sure the business was running smoothly and making the most of opportunities. I also had to raise the profile of the business through active marketing and brand awareness. I was able to bring the customer base from around 100 to over 400 and systematically grow the business in over 38 countries. Not only are we award winning, we are also active in the local community as well as the manufacturing community.

It is important for businesses to not only grow but to grow in the structured systematic way, and with my expertise, helps business owners get the recognition and platform they deserve as well as establishing an amazing supportive network. Having the right systems and structures in place give business owners more free time and allows them the opportunity to work more on the business instead of in it.
