I started out in Manufacturing around 20 years ago and have always had a growth mindset, to the extent of growing company turnovers to the millions, establishing markets, supply chains and agent networks across the world and increasing customer bases globally. Using my expertise of business development, strategising, engaging sales teams, negotiation and team management, I have grown companies beyond their targets which has earned them award-winning statuses and millions in turnover - the highest achieving £12million turnover and the most prestigious award, The Queen’s Award, being awarded to CRM; where I was previously a Director. I am also a Board Member of the BVAA, Vice Chair on the British Stainless Steel Association.

I am very passionate about raising the aspirations of young people, especially around manufacturing and making sure local businesses are successful; which is why I am a Governor of Post 16 for the Aston Community Education Trust and an Enterprise Advisor for Rotherham Investment & Development Office. I also promote Careers Education and Apprenticeships and have experience at training apprentices, school assemblies, careers days, interview techniques and work experience. It’s important that we continue to support and invest in the next generation.
